After a slow start to 2021, I managed to get some stuff done – including adding paint to my scatch-built cargo sled AND built a sci-fi APC for my Dominion forces – which cost me nothing. And I also found a manufacturer who makes METAL versions of not the Mandalorian and Clan Wren in 28mm. All can be found in my latest post: link |

So, after finally managing to secure an empty margarine tub (as I kept putting them next to the sink to wash up and my wife KEPT throwing them away) I feel your pain. My wife has slowly over time become more aware of the value of packaging. Well-done all around. |

Sad the Diehard figures are Legion sized, too big for my collection! |

Sad the Diehard figures are Legion sized, too big for my collection! …or maybe not! – are they really 28mm figures? – the pictures make it look so? Either way, I have sent off for a couple of their figures!!! |

I love that razor-sled. Very nice, and the "droid" controlling it looks superb. I thought it was an actual mini added to it at first. I'm less a fan of the APC, though it does look very olde, SW-ish, given some of their other designs. I just prefer the much more streamlined, advanced anti-grav armor shapes myself. Ouch, $8.00 USD plus shipping for a single mini makes my wallet hurt. It is a very nice looking mini though. A pity the SW Heroclix minis are getting more scarce and pricey. Otherwise they would be decent stand-ins for these. I got some Booba-Fett (not Boba Fett – the female variant instead)) for about 50 cents each or so, back in the day. Other Mandalorians were priced about that to $1.00 USD or so too. Actual Heroclix, Boba Fett minis were far too expensive even back then, and sadly, remain so today. |

"This is the way …. to save money" conjured up an image of Mando in 20 years doing celebrity store openings. Shades of "By Grabthar's hammer, what a savings" :) |

Ooh, Razor-Sled sounds cool, so I from now on be referring to it as such. As for the APC, for me it has both Steve Jackson's Ogre vibes, as well as the grav-tanks used by the droid armies in the prequel trilogy. I sort of imagine it bulldozering it's way through forests. And as far as I'm aware, Diehard miniatures are 28mm, so should fit in with your "normal" figures. |

While we are on about not Mandalorian characters, does anyone do a good 'not' Cara Dume, Fennec Shand, Greef Karga? |

Ask Die Hard to make some? |

Frankly, this whole topic has reached the point of insanity. Fantasy Flight Games didn't do anyone any favors first dumping Imperial Assault entirely (28mm) and then coming with a game that had no relation in scale (35mm). The result is, once again, Star Wars scale mishmash where no one aside from the flavor of the month (Legion) is happy. But given the entry price points of either, no one should be happy. There isn't enough aftermarket to make it cheap. I hope people like Die Hard keep going. It is obvious none of the corporates will. |

Thanks Augustus, I completely agree! |

Post note: I E-mailed Tim at Diehard miniatures, and he said some more figures will be released later in the year to go with their 'Elite Bounty Hunters' range! Yay! |

frankly I can get a 3d print for 5 and without shipping doesn't chip either |

I got my first Diehard figures today, and they are a smidgeon larger than 28mm, but I will happily use them with my Imperial Assault figures! |
