FAA now has open ordering on all items that are either limited or out of stock. I know that the last time they did this was last year in November. This is a limited time option, running January 15th to February 6th 2021. I just ordered some WW2 figures. faaminiatures.com |

FAA figures are pretty nice. If you order you should realize that the US – Europe postal connection as well as the US internal mail system is in a crisis due to Covid-19. I participated in the previous open ordering. My package was mailed from Maryland on December 9th, and it took almost a month for it to reach Chicago (750 miles) on January 4th. It is still in Chicago and it may take another two months before it reaches Europe. If you're in a hurry, you could ask Lost Battallion about courier services. |

@Maha Bandula they aren't painted as yet…. I ordered last time and I got mine within a week here in KC. Post Office delays were pretty random. A few days later I bought games in Florida and Arizona and my daughter sent packages from Anaheim California a few days after those. Her packages arrived first, followed a week later by the AZ one, then another week for the FL one.

I ordered from FAA at the end of November and all of the items needed to be cast. On Dec. 9 I was notified that the order shipped and according to the USPS tracking info I should see it on the 14th -- seemed about right since from where they are located in Maryland to my house is about 425 miles. On the 14th I checked the tracking which said the parcel was delayed… not unexpected in these times. There were then no scans for more than two weeks at which point the package appeared in… wait for it… Little Rock, Arkansas, a 1000 miles off course. Finally, it was in my mailbox on Jan. 2nd after what I am guessing was about a 2000 mile odyssey. Not sure how "Covid delays" explain the very circuitous route… The figures were quite nice and will, with some significant filing of the rather thick basses, fit in with the other manufacturers I have. I had placed several orders at roughly the same time, including two in the UK -- one of those overseas orders arrived in ten days the other took just over a month. So, uncertainty seems to be in our future for sometime to come. I am resetting my expectations to the days when I first started ordering figures back in the 1970s when orders took a long time to arrive (remember sending for a paper catalog, mailing an order with check[cheque]/money order, waiting for it to clear, parcel post rather than priority mail, etc.) rather than the near instant gratification of recent years. It's not like I don't have enough in the lead mountain to keep me busy for a while |

I have cast sarcastic aspersions on FAA several times on these boards over the last year, notably about Lost Battalion's apparent lack of interest in maintaining supply. I had frankly given up on this company, but took up the opportunity to order stock being recast late last year. My reinforcements were posted well before Christmas (the tracking code tells me that they travelled from Maryland via Ft Worth and Tokyo) and arrived today. So I shall not grouse about FAA any more, and Debbie: thank you for the delivery. |

USPS notified me last night that after 13 days at the Chicago Airport my package is now in transit. This is exciting… :) |
