The overall design looks good, though I find the overly visible grid distracting. Better to make that a very dark black if the rest of the board isn't, or a slightly lighter, dark gray, etc., so you can better enjoy the stars, nebulae, etc.. |

I wonder if it would be possible to use a wire or plastic mesh as the grid? |

Chicken wire will work. You will probably have to put a couple strips side by side to get the size you want. Also, you will likely have to press it and store it flat so it's ready to go when you want it. |

I've used a pegboard as a stencil to put dots at the corners— no grid lines, just dots. Another approach is small + signs for a more distinct corner look. But that's not a criticism, just an addition to the discussion. Nice board! |
