… Indo-Pacific Strategy

"The Trump administration has declassified a report which lays out its Indo-Pacific strategy, including "accelerating India's rise," blocking China from establishing "illiberal spheres of influence," and maintaining "U.S. strategic primacy" in the region, according to a copy viewed by Axios…."

It has come down to this because Tokyo and Seoul are unwilling to buck the Dragon's rise and have in effect indentured themselves by signing on to the RCEP. Will India be up to the Herculean challenge?

India is too incompetent and corrupt to be an effective counter to China. As an Australian I am glad this is the case because India harbours ambitions of total dominance in Indian Ocean.

Agreed. I didn't think so (that India's up to the task). India is one of the most impoverished countries in the world with a socio-economic disparity that makes the western world's pale in comparison.

The truth is it actually classified what the USA will do … IMO …

However, IMO the biggest threat to India is India. The Pakistanis talk a good fight but they to are no real threat militarily. They both have nukes, that keeps them from going to war.

Let's hope this is for Chinese and Russian consumption, and not the "real" strategy, which should never, EVER be divulged to our enemies.

Well we do have some PRC and don't doubt Russian spies working with members of our elected gov't … Not to mention any names …
