Seems to me I've seen this semi-porn miniature here once or twice before.

Alcibiades13 Jan 2021 1:11 p.m. PST

Semi porn? Nothing pornographic about this figure. The subject matter is interesting and the brushwork is outstanding. The artist expertly captures the look of regret and remorse on this fallen angel's face.

John the OFM13 Jan 2021 1:21 p.m. PST

Bound, scourged, branded, whipped, submissive.
Yes, I consider that porn, regardless of the painting "quality".
"Oh look! You can see her nipples through the gauzy cloth!" Yeah. Right.

Puster Sponsoring Member of TMP13 Jan 2021 3:05 p.m. PST

Painting quality and subject are totally different issues, and if its pornographic it should go into the NSFW-area. Wait…

von Schwartz ver 213 Jan 2021 4:58 p.m. PST

"Oh look! You can see her nipples through the gauzy cloth!"

Where??!?!

C'mon John, lighten up, have a little fun with it. Life's too short to be a grump. Remember what that Great Bard Bugs Bunny said, "Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive."

John the OFM13 Jan 2021 6:21 p.m. PST

Oh, you're into torture? Ok. Nice to know.

Glad you like it, boys! *smile*

John the OFM13 Jan 2021 6:27 p.m. PST

The artist expertly captures the look of regret and remorse on this fallen angel's face.

And the scars on her body and back.
What exactly is this "regret and remorse" she should be feeling? I'm unfamiliar with her story. When I Google her name, all I get is this miniature for sale.
Enlighten me please about her vital back story.

WillBGoode13 Jan 2021 7:02 p.m. PST

I don't know about this… Strange what some people Go looking for and get off on.

oldjarhead14 Jan 2021 10:05 a.m. PST

Not my cup of tea, but who am I to judge anyone else on their likes/dislikes?

von Schwartz ver 214 Jan 2021 4:52 p.m. PST

Ah well, C'est la querre, I tried, ya just can't please some people.

WillBGoode15 Jan 2021 10:16 a.m. PST

While I can say it is beautifully painted, the entire bondage theme is upsetting. The figure has obviously been tortured and is scared; "regret and remorse"? It looks like something you would find in a incel's basement. Not on the pages of a family friendly website.

I have to wonder about not only people who would sculpt and paint something like this but why hunt around the internet for this? Not my cup of tea? Not a lot of people's cup of tea.

John the OFM15 Jan 2021 1:17 p.m. PST

Not my cup of tea, but who am I to judge anyone else on their likes/dislikes?

Oh, God forbid I should be JUDGEMENTAL about torture that others gleefully appreciate.

oldjarhead15 Jan 2021 4:32 p.m. PST

People are free to judge on the morality of the subject, but I myself (and I speak ONLY for myself) cannot

Village Idiot15 Jan 2021 8:06 p.m. PST

Liking these kind of figures is not the same as doing torture. Just like wargamers and RPG players are not mass murderers, in most cases.

John the OFM15 Jan 2021 9:42 p.m. PST

Liking is endorsing.

von Schwartz ver 216 Jan 2021 6:39 p.m. PST

Um, guys, I hate to be the one to have to point out the obvious but, its a sculpture, get a grip.

John the OFM17 Jan 2021 2:45 p.m. PST

Yes, a piece of sculpture celebrating bondage and torture.
But, hey. It's very well painted, so that makes it OK.

I don't know what you said Tango, but I agree 100%

The Last Conformist17 Jan 2021 10:44 p.m. PST

If liking a figure is endorsing what it represents, we've got an awful lot of pro-war types on this forum.

Puster Sponsoring Member of TMP18 Jan 2021 2:11 a.m. PST

Liking is endorsing.

Not to speak of all the minis representing Nazi-Germans (especially these stylish SS), Soviets, Confederates or Assyrians – just for starters.

Sorry, but imho "liking" is not "endorsing its theme".

This mini may go the way of pornography, but pornography is a part of our society. Make sure that you know what comes by labeling it NSFW, so people who are insulted by it can avoid it. You have any right not to like it, but please do not tell others what THEIR motivation is if they do. Just put it so that this is YOUR opinion on their motivation, that should serve all, and leaves us the chance to disagree on opinions rather then facts.

dick garrison18 Jan 2021 7:00 a.m. PST

I don't think she has been whipped, aren't the marks on her back where her wings have been removed??

John the OFM18 Jan 2021 9:20 a.m. PST

Where her wings have been removed?
Oh, I bet that felt good.
So, is this a "real" "fallen angel", with a real back story?
Or is it simply an excuse to show a beautiful woman with scars and torn clothes, bound and chained?
As was said above, not by me, one has to wonder about the person who gets off on this and goes looking for it.

Tango0118 Jan 2021 12:07 p.m. PST

So… you are who critized the Fallen Angel…?

Not sure as wargamers we are in any position to criticize anyone else with a fringe interest that can be interpreted as a mental illness. After all, this is a world where the FBI considers Star Trek fans as paedophiles because "No rational adult would take interest in a children's entertainment unless they were using it as a form of bait"

Same could be said about grown men and toys. Food for thought.

Ghostrunner19 Jan 2021 9:56 a.m. PST

Not to mention that most of us are here because we pass our time simulating soldiers getting slaughtered by the platoon whenever we get the chance.

"Oh, just burned up 8 guys with that flamethrower roll. Awesome!"

von Schwartz ver 219 Jan 2021 5:09 p.m. PST

John seems horribly offended by these posts,

And yet here he is, again.
