Last Thursday our "Old Guys" group met and fought the Battle of Thannuris between the Byzantines and Sassanid Persians using my 15mm figures and the 'Commands and Colors Medieval' rule system.

The Sassanids won decisively, 6 victory banners to 2 for the Byzantines.

P.S. Very few of the figures are actually from the 6th Century. I used what I had which is primarily from the 11th Century. But they served their purpose and I'm not a real "button counter" when it comes to this period.
