What do you get?
Six sprues, each with parts for two giant spiders that will fit on a 40mm round base and two one-part spiders that will just about fit on a 25mm round base. There is also a pair of humanoids encased in spider silk one of which is clearly a halfling due to the size of the feet. The sprue also has parts to make scifi spiders e.g., two types of guns, legs with hi-tech parts attached and a face mask. The sprue is apparently compatible with the upcoming goblin sprue to make spider riders.

Negatives
The set has no bases. Not a problem for me as I base everything on MDF bases from Warbases and more recently products for Wargamers. Other MDF manufactures are available

Positives
Almost no discernible mould lines.
The details are good.
The attachment points to the sprue are all in sensible places. I can only hope all manufactures do this.
The aesthetic of the completed models is very much to my taste.
Excellent value. To go into my thinking here I class these as cavalry models due to the base size and the overall size of the models even though they are a little smaller than cavalry models. My view is that the A standard in 28mm Cavalry models is victrix which are excellent sculpts at about £23.00 GBP-27 for 12 models. Almost everyone else is more expensive or lower quality. The A+ standard are Perry were I can hardly believe I get 12 such high quality models for only £20.00 GBP This box is comparable in cost to Victrix but in addition has 12 smaller spiders and 12 models in spider silk for objectives or terrain. This hits the A+ standard for me.

Verdict
I will probably get some more once the huge Christmas model backlog has gone down a bit.

I watched these come to market and thought they look awesome. Thanks for the review.

You know, for many years, I have been collecting Spider cards in Magic the Gathering. But in reall life spiders freak me out. I have been painting miniatures for 45 years and just cannot bring myself to paint spiders! Yeah, I'm a bit weird! I just blame it on being old. ;-)
