Over the past year I've added about 90 ships or so to my collection of 1/1250 scale ships. We've gamed a bit over the summer, and even Manila Bayed in December. my collection of Spanish ships were mostly bad unprotected cruisers, but I finally had a chance to build and paint five armored cruisers to provide the slightest bit of spine to the Spanish fleet. Very nice work. I've often wondered why the Spanish didn't wait a bit and mass more forces. The "Pelayo" was a semi-decent battleship for example. |
