There were movies in 2020?

Haven't heard about any of these.

I'm with HMS Exeter.

Looked through the list and very glad I never paid any money to see any of those movies. Saved myself at least 2 hours of my life not wasted on that garbage.

HMS Exeter, me too!

My vote for the best, goes to the one about the entire planet earth bring stricken by a deadly infectious virus that shuts down all commerce and business and direct social contact between humans. Scientists are scrambling to come up with a vaccine.

Wait a minute, that's not a movie is it?

Actually, I watched a youtube short a few years ago that covered that exact topic.

My wife and I saw Underwater, The Invisible Man and Tenet and thought they were all very good.

Thanks,

Pat

I found Tenet in the "seconds" bin at my food store. It was $19 USD, which is steep, but its Nolan so I figured I'd roll the dice. Haven't watched it yet, tho.

"Underwater" was a slow burn and I admit I enjoyed it. "Tenet" is fun, but doesn't really go into the science aspect of the McGuffin, and in some ways just feels like a show reel for Nolan to submit if he gets the chance to apply for doing a Bond film. Going one farther, I even saw "Meandre" at a theatre, and that was . . . Well, French SF has long since given up on Verne-style verisimilitude and realism, but I believe it should at least *try* to make some sense even when going for the Art house crowd.

But then, I *can* go to the movies here, so anything seems pretty good I suppose. Then again, I also saw "The Man Who Would Be King" on the big screen again so take that as you like.

stay for the infectious blue goop and enviably cozy fisherman's sweaters.

That's a sale. I am totally a sucker for nice sweaters. (Sea Fever.)

The only one of these that I've seen is The Vast of Night, which was very, very, good.

I'll probably catch Underwater, Color Out of Space, Sputnik, Possessor, and Tenet when I have the house to myself from time to time during the year.

Bacurau sounds very interesting, as do Palm Springs and Synchrotic.

Thanks for posting this.

The anime Weathering With You was on the list but not the Goblin Slayer Goblin's Crown movie?

Pass this list, and it's not even a hard choice.
