I'm looking for an ANZAC scenario for the first day of the landing, when things were still fluid. Rules and scale don't matter. I just want something I can build on.

There is a Gallipoli supplement about to be published for Great War Spearhead 2. The supplement is entitled 'Our Sons as Well'. It covers the main battles in the campaign, including the landing at Anzac Cove on 25 April 1915. Here is a detailed review of the first play test:

and another for the second play test of the same scenario:

These will help you to get a sense of whether the scenario is what you are after.

Nice looking games. I'll have to buy that supplement when it goes on sale.

monk2002uk thank you for the links. Very helpful!

The first day of the Battle of Sari Bair (well, night strictly speaking) was another battle that saw movement. Here is the play test of the 6/7 August 1915:

I bought the Spearhead 2 WW1 rules and the supplement. Thanks for the tips.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or want to discuss anything related to the supplement. There is a shedload of information from both the Ottoman and Anglo-British perspectives on tap.

Thanks, monk2002uk. I am waiting for a hard copy of the rules, but bought the download version of the scenarios. I am using plastic 1/72 miniatures for the games and I am hoping for guidance from the rules on how to build smaller units, requiring fewer figures, than those shown in the photos in the scenario supplement.

Check out Robin's website. He has a lot of experience with 1/72nd figures. The introductory photograph features HaT Light Horsemen:

Perfect! Thank you. I would not have found this site on my own.

I haven't made it to Christchurch very often but it has been enjoyable playing with 1/72 scale figures for GWSH when Robin and I have met up. It brought back memories of Airfix figures for me, which is how I got into wargaming. Vehicles and artillery can be a very minor issue. Neither figure much in the Gallipoli supplement. Most artillery is off-table and the armoured cars only put in an appearance in one scenario.
