The scenic work is simply amazing. We often see some attempt at the church, as it then looked, but the rest of the village tends to be just a couple of buildings, as a gesture (and I guess necessary for wargames, to reduce the footprint). Plenty of casualties do add realism and I can spot some very well done individual and unique figures, representing some clever conversion work. Wait until the Prussian cavalry are let loose on this lot, once they break and run. |

I think your camera work is great. I assume this is daylight lit, as any artificial lights, on such a large base area, could never give such even coverage. It might take over 8 minutes and 93 million miles to get here, but sunlight is the cameraman's friend. If you wanted better depth of focus (personally I would not, for most of these images) you would chose Av, wait for another sunny day, use a tripod and set for the smallest aperture the camera can be fooled into. f27 at least. But I think everyone loves these photos |

Thanks all! My photographic skills are very poor and serve only as a means of providing an update. When (if?!) the next sunny day comes I will use that advice. |

I've been working on a battalion of Young Guard Voltigeurs, defending the line of the hedge to the east of the prebendary. They are the new Strelets Bavarians at ease with Hat heads.

I've been working on my Plancenoit section, adding more Prussians and generally tidying up the model. I've added about another 200 figures, but it's amazing how they get lost in the diorama. There are still too many stands showing, but these will slowly be concealed. The casualties all look a bit too pristine and most need a loose musket. Here are a few pictures:
