I believe Redoubt has ships in their Trojan War range. |

LOD Enterprises makes a nice ship for their 54mm Trojan War range of plastic figures. It looks like it might work equally well for 25-28mm figures. link link |

If you're willing to go the frame and plank route, there is a Czech company called Dusek that makes a galley they market as a bireme. They used to market it as a penteconter, whuch is the correct version for Mycenae. Its a full hull model at 1/72 scale. If you decide to go for it, shop around. I saw a wide array of prices. The guy who runs Dusek was kind enough to send me a pdf of the plans and the parts panels, gratis. I was able to use them to make a 15mm waterline version. I would never try that again. Maybe try to press this into service. link |

Lots of stuff on google search plus you can always make some look like a simple design for the body. |

I would find a nice picture of a couple of the black ships. Print them out at 25 mm scale make them two-sided and put them on the beach three or four side-by-side. Even though they are only two dimensional I think they would look good. |

I'd like to do this also. My group played a lot of Trojan War skirmishes using WRG "Before the Gates of Troy" rules & Redoubt figures decades ago & I'd like to run a convention game when possible. I found a cardstock bireme model from a Russian company named "Umbum" which is smaller than 28mm scale but would do as a beached Greek ship to be defended from a Trojan assault. I like cardstock structures since they're economical compared to resin or plastic & don't need painting. |
