What about less lead remaining unpainted?

Rules and scenario books neatly sorted by period.

Terrain cloths overhauled.

Empty lead pile!!

I must admit i have painted up a lot of lead, I also rebased everything using mdf bases from warbases.co.uk and using fine turf from woodlands and i must admit the effect looks good. It has made my old crappy figures look a lot better.

The only issue is i have also purchased a heap of new lead. My new 15mm French figures are painted up and now i have ordered Russian figures so i can refight leipzig. I already have the Prussians and Austrians, although i lack swedes. I will use my British for the swedes.

The only pile which is reducing is my money pile, the Russians have set me back almost 400 pounds, including shipping. Ouch?

It had virtually no impact on my hobbies, either. Still ordering new mini's, still painting them, too. Cheers!

In the long term I doubt it will have had any significant effect upon the development of hobby wargaming.

Consider the 'Spanish Flu' epidemic just after the Great War: has that, on its own, had any long term effect that we can identify clearly upon anything?

We can never know, of course, what contributions some of the people who died of either disease might have made to the world or the hobby, had they lived.

For some reason, I started ordering minis faster than I am painting them. I even had a three month haitus with no minis ordered (but also very few painted) due to a work sommitment.
