Interesting unit. It saw hard fighting. In 1780, remnants of Pulaski's Legion were used to bring the ranks up to strength. Pulaski's Legion of course already had their own flag.

Interesting speculative flag too. I'll have to use it, since we have so little information, anything goes as long as it's plausible.

Thanks to The Editor for citing and giving credit to the Defending the Legacy blog, which of course the owners request at the bottom of that article.

Thank you for crediting the blog. It is very much worth the look.

Besides taking in the remnants of Pulaski's Legion, Armand's Legion also recruited heavily from Hessian POWs. I wonder how the British paid the Landgrave for them?

Why the owl as a symbol? Neither Pulaski nor Armand were especially wise… 😉

My $.02 USD,
Is any body else other than me, getting really tired of certain, few TMP'er's going a bit over-board with their self-appointed duty of becoming 'blog police'?
At this point of my life, I really don't mind following 'Tango01''s links to the original blog. Maybe he should take a short vacation and see how quickly T.M.P.'s amount of 'message's' drops?
Lastly, where does the owner of 'Defending the Legacy' blog request that 'Tango01' credit the original blog? I've looked and the best I can see, is if someone uses that specific flag, he would appreciate being acknowledged as being the designer. 'Tango01' gives a link to the 'Defending the Legacy' blog, "Loved!" it. No place above did I see 'Tango01' say he had painted a unit and used this flag?????????

Sincerely,
Tom Semian

p.s. At this point, I am going to 'stifle' those folks whom, I feel have taken on the duty of becoming the self appointed 'bog police'. Perhaps that will make my T.M.P. message reading a bit more enjoyable! For those offended, please feel free to 'stifle' me back.

Well played sir! Very well played!

AuttieCat, since you now have me on stifle (after saying what you think) I guess there us no point in me saying anything about this.

We all like to think we are wise.
Although in D&D, the highest I ever rolled was 11.

Kevin, I would never have suspected that from you.

As Will said, well played.

I too am confused by the blog police. Then some people complain because Tango links to it? He's not taking credit for their work, not making money off of it, and not presenting it as his own. Why are some people upset by this? If you post your work on the web for everyone to see, why are you upset when Tango essentially yells, "Hey everyone, come look at this."

It's a campaign… let's them have fun…

I cannot say why others are upset with Tango taking items from their blog and posting it here. I can only say why I have asked him to please give a credit when he does it.

Because he takes the post without crediting the original blog. Yes he posts a link to it. Because he has to otherwise he would cut and past the entire post. He does not add anything to its content or discussion, except a glad you liked it boys. I Sometimes wonder if he reads some of what he posts here. I found one post from my blog posted by him multiple (4) times. Each time like its something new. And I already posted it here before him.

When, in the blogging world someone uses something from another blog it is customary (and good manners) to give credit. I do this often. When I found a great picture from historygamers' blog of a British Marine Grenadier cap I credited it. Not hard to do, and its good manners too.

I have politely ask him to please give credit to any post from my blog he posts here. I truly do not think that us too much to ask.

That owl looks desperately out of potato chips.
