"Eaglemoss Hero Collector are launching their Star Trek: The Next Generation – Build the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D part-work collection(ad). Following a trial run of the first few issues last year, the series is due for its proper start in February, with sign-ups starting now.

Over 120 issues (!), the collection will build a 70cm long model of the Enterprise-D, with die cast metal parts, and lighting throughout (including nacelles, impulse engines, deflector, windows, and navigation lights). The model can also saucer separate, with independent power supplies in each part so the lights will still function while separated. Everything comes pre-painted, and either clicks or screws into place. Each issue also comes with a magazine (see below for details of that)…."

120 issues at £9.99 GBP is a gnat's whisker shy of £1,200.00 GBP

I like star trek – but not that much evil grin

Does the chap walk past the window like in the shows opening titles? That would be make or break for me.

There is at least a 46cm kit that would not cost that much!

The problem with these is, like many partworks, the last issues can be hard to get for newsagents. Not AS bad if it's a series like starships, where you still have all the other models, but the Ent D less half a nacelle would be terrible.

It's baffled me recently that the bttf Delorean was selling in consistently. Some issues sold out, others not. I guess some people are either trying to build a Traditional one or only buying the bttf bits to modify another?? I haven't checked which bits are selling out.

I gave up on starships subscription after the mags kept getting damaged by the start box edges of the ships packaging. The two tossed in a plastic bag and sent through the post. They kept issuing replacements, but how many Klingon battle cruisers does one need? Although it wasn't limited to that one. I just gave up. What a way to run a business, purposefully giving product away due to their own incompetence. I just wanted one of each in mint condition. Better off waiting to pay second hand prices. It's a popular series, so there will be many dumped at some point.
