I have just washed and started preparing this set from WestWind Miniatures and have been having trouble finding a good resource for how wide usage was. Based on what I can find, the NVA/VC had Chinese copies of these guns.

Trying to learn from you all how widely these were deployed? Would you say most company sized NVA units had one? Would this have been mostly deployed in a fixed position or would these have moved fairly rapidly around the jungle? Would the NVA have had specifically trained units for these or was this really just a use it if you got it weapon? Any resource recommendation is greatly appreciated.

The pack seems a little crew member heavy with respect to the recoilless rifle. What do you all think?

Recoilless rifles were usually to be found the battalion support companies of NVA units (along with 82mm mortars etc). I guess they might have been parcelled out in sections to rifle companies.

If you've got to man pack all the ammo, you need a big squad:)
