Ahoy… I am not a great model maker and I am about to start wargames in 12mm scale. I am told this is the same as N gauge (?) and if so is there a UK source of ready made buildings and scenery suitable for wargames in the WW2 period? Thanks |

The answer is N gauge railway models. link link They aren't what you'd call cheap though…. You can get similar things in assemble yourself pre-coloured card for about 1/3rd of the price. |

If you're looking at the Victrix stuff then it matches fine with our 10mm / 1:150th ranges, so we've got a variety of scenery available: link There's also the Epsilon pre-painted buildings if you want to get it on the table quickly: link |

Timecast advertise their 10mm buildings as compatible with N gauge link I have some of their 10mm stuff and it actually goes well with 15mm stuff from some other ranges. The buildings from many companies are undersized compared to the figures so as to occupy less ground space – most wargames rules use a smaller ground scale than the figures would suggest. |

Search eBay for Faller, Kubrick, and Vollmer. Used assembled is much cheaper than new. |

Timecast. Not if the stuff from Germany is shipping from overseas. eBay seller's shipping rates are usually horrendous, even for only 1 – 2 very small buildings. |
