Little Wars TV just released a 100% free game system, specifically designed to help get new players to try historical wargaming. There are some advanced rules included for more veteran players, too! This free system is used in the latest LWTV video episode about Alfred the Great's near-capture in January 878 by Guthrum! YouTube link
