… Finally Be Released "It's counted as one of the biggest debates among Lord of the Rings fans: Who can grow a beard? Well, J.R.R. Tolkien himself has the answer in a previously unpublished essay expanding the world of Middle-earth, part of a new collection of works that's set to come out next year. As reported by the Guardian, HarperCollins is getting ready to release a new collection of previously unpublished Tolkien essays called The Nature of Middle-earth, edited by Tolkien expert and head of the Elvish Linguistic Fellowship Carl F. Jeez. How many more "unpublished notes" are there yet to discover? Is there really a demand for yet another tranche? |

Sounds interesting. For Tolkien to keep exploring his own creation even after the publication of his masterwork is intriguing. Elvish immortality and reincarnation? Definitely a must have. Thanks for the heads up, Armand. |

Well, 12 minutes apart, we have 2 polar opposites as far as interest, LOL. I'd be mildly curious about what it has to say, but doubt I'd ever want to buy a copy unless it proved to be far more interesting than it sounds. |

Sounds like a case of "if you build it, they will come". There is money to be made when you publish a book with the name Tolkien on the cover. I consider LOTR my favorite all time novel, and I also liked The Silmarillion, and Unfinished Tales. Never got into the Histories of Middle-Earth (12 volumes I think), as they were not complete tales but just story fragments and notes. |
