Here are a few images updating your on progress with my Plancenoit project, a subset of my larger Waterloo diorama. This is about the buildings, but there are also several thousand figures in production, some of which have been shown elsewhere on this forum.

The pictures mostly show two new sections on the south side of the village around the Presbytery. You can see that the scenery itself is still pretty basic and needs to be brought to the same standard as the first two sections of the model. The tributary of the Lasne Brook will be much narrower, almost a ditch really. More on my blog at: generalpicton.blogspot.com

If anyone is interested in helping out with the project do let me know. The diorama will eventually show 103,000 troops and I presently have a small army of talented people working on various units.

This project never ceases to amaze me. An outstanding effort.

Thanks to both of you, we've got a long way to go!

Your terrain and buildings look really great, Captain Siborne! Definitely worth the effort.

For me, the look of the terrain is at least as important as how nicely sculpted and painted the figures are.
After all, a model railway isn't just judged on the rolling stock, is it.

Many thanks Tassie, we take a lot of trouble researching this lesser known part of the battlefield and get good advice from other TMP members.

Captain Siborne13 Dec 2020 3:28 p.m. PST

I've started to add figures – just some rough shots; the figures need to be bedded in better. More on my blog at generalpicton.blogspot.com
