I know you are new here Tango, but there's a Napoleonic Naval Painting Board. ;-) It's probably good that it's not posted there though. As the others have said, that article badly flawed. It's hard to know whether the author just made some of it up or genuinely believed It to be correct. AdmiralHawke, I think some of that info might have come from the old von Pivka book, Navies of the Napoleonic Wars. I have it in my library, but don't see any need to confirm where information THAT bad came from. |
