link A friend has been experimenting with his first 3D printer, and gave me these bits to work with. I thought the prints turned out pretty well for a first attempt. Scale is 1/300. Added a mast and gun barrels from wire and suggested a DC rack with a bit of plastic scrap. |

Those look very nice indeed. I'd be interested in some, if he decides to put some up for sale. I'd be interested in some BPB 70' – 72' MGBs/MTBs with both the long and short upper cockpits, with AND without torpedoes mounted on them. The MGBs were "upgunned" with torps by at least 1944. I believe the long cockpit ones are sometimes referred to as "Whaleback" boats. There are drawings for this on-line – blueprint plans. I think the short cockpit boats may always have torpedoes on them, but am not 100% sure about that. |

Make those in 1/2400 scale and I'll buy them. I have been waiting for years for MAS boats. |

Apparently the STL files were free downloads; I don't know what else is available, but I still have a motosilurante to finish. |

There are some BPB Mgs, MTBs and MA/SBs on Thingiverse and in the files area of the "Dock Office" Facebook group |

Thanks for the tip David. I've applied for access on FB, so look forward to seeing them. I'm amazed/appalled that the BPBs are available commercially from Warlord, given how much service they saw during the war. |

Warlords choice of models is somewhat unusual and suggests a lack of familiarity with the subject. The "Type 1 Vosper" (actually a 72' Vosper) would have been better teamed with a BPB MGB rather than the "Type 2" (which is actually a 73' Type 1, and a craft that only saw limited service in home waters) |
