Is anyone here familiar with COB Constructs and Miniatures on shapeways? I was looking at their version of the Idzumo link Looks pretty good but it's only a render. Thanks in advance. |

I've been happy with some 1/4800 from them but looking at the link, I'd certainly go with the Smoothest White Detail as a material choice. |

If you are looking for pre-dreadnaught, take a look at Brown Water Navy, also on Shapeways. Matt Lawson does a good job. |

Solely for comparison: A 1/2400 Idzumo will look substantially similar to this 1/1500 Idzumo (this is not a COB model). wtj.com/product5775.html For a general comparison of the various scales, there is a family snapshot of six different sizes of USS Denver (for comparison of the 1/2400 and 1/1500): wtj.com/product6110.html |
