Hi all, just finished setting up this battle I've been planning for quite a while.

On November 15th, 1936, nationalist soldiers first crossed the Manzanares River into Madrid. Moroccan Regulares from the 3rd Tabor of Tetuan are the first to wade across. The following morning at 2am, the Durruti Column enters the fight for University City.

More here, and I'll add more after I start the game tomorrow:

Very interesting. A real gem of a table there. Be good at a show to see it.

Quite interesting. What ruleset are you going to use? CoC perhaps?

Thanks all. Yes ive been planning this game for a few months. My table (8'×4') was too small for the buildings I made, so i unfortunately had to leave out some sections. There's also some other buildings and terrain I would have liked to get on the table, which sit further north and south of this section. Thus, Id love to do a game of this scenario with twice the table space.

I had a similar problem with forces. I overestimated how many foreign legion and Moroccan sections I could field (given they accounted for most of the nationalist soldiers in this battle), so I'll have to substitute in some Peninsulares. I also forgot to build a pontoon bridge, so I'm working on that tonight or the nationalist tanks will never make it into the action. Perhaps some day post pandemic I'll meet some wargammers near me, or convince some friends to get into the hobby, and I'll do this battle again the right way.

Lluis, I'm using my own set of very simple rules. The scenario is part of a campaign game I've been working on for the last couple years, following the Durruti Column. I'll write up an AAR, I appreciate all the kind words!
