Used to be a computer game based on Battle Tech. I used a Locust and consistently hosed the bigger techs. They couldn't hit me, too fast, and I just focused all my fire on a leg joint until they dropped. |

Not a headshot, it looks like the trail of the ejection seat.
I'd guess the MAD had a crippled left leg and was limping back when the opportunistic pristine Locust ran up to him and kicked off its left leg. Not a lot the MAD mechwarrior can do, all he's got that can hit the bug are 2 medium lasers, and even for a 20 tonner, it's way too short for a kill.
BTW, it looks like a vignette out of the GRey Death Legion saga  |
