Hi, I just received several 1/72 Panther track sets from OKB Grigorov, for detailing several Panther models. Before I potentially wreck them… how does one use them? I've 'googled' numerous variations/combos of terms such as 'working with 1/72 resin tracks', but so far not found any useful hints or tips. I have vague feelings that I might once have read about softening the resin in hot water. But I'm chary of wrecking these costly and beautiful tracks by experimenting with 'em. Is there any info on this topic anywhere online? Any help greatly appreciated. Best, Seb |

I have some of those and, as you say, they are beautiful items! I place them in hot water (not boiling) and then let them sit for a minute or so. They then bend nicely, retaining all the detail. I've heard some people warm them gently with a hair dryer until they are malleable, but I've also heard horror stories with this method so I've never tried it. The hot water works well for me. |

Yep warm/hot water works fine. Most times you hardly need even that the links are so well detailed they articulate really well. Personally I nearly always assemble the lower hull/wheels. Then I add the tracks makes it easier to get access all round the track fitting area. The add the upper hull. It doesnt get much better than OKB stuff. L |

Cheers guys. 'Tis as I suspected. But it's good to have it confirmed. I shall be bold, and have a go… |
