Mr Steve and I managed to get in another battlefield walk last month before current UK restrictions on movement took effect.

Enjoying a day of glorious weather we travelled to Gloucestershire to follow the events in the area of 1471, 1643 and even the dark ages.

Very impressive views and narrative. We were in Tewksbury long ago and lunched at that very pub but sadly missed the other two sites. Thanks for reviving fond memories.

Glad you enjoyed the read chaps.

Steve and I had a great day wandering around with weather to look fondly back on now the evenings are getting shorter.

Thanks for the tour and commentary! Now I need to wrap myself around a good book about the Wars of the Roses tomorrow while Denver, Colorado, USA gets 3-7" of snow! Brrrrr…..

Brings back good memories from my 20s of a barge holiday with good friends, and stopping off at Tewkesbury to see the battle site (and museum where I picked up a couple of posters of the Yorkist & Lancastrian battle heraldry). We played a lot of Kingmaker on that holiday (& drank a lot of beer) – Good times grin

Better you guys, mumbasa, than us! :)

Battlefield walks (in good weather) are always fun.

Fabulous JJ, I love Tewksbury, was hoping to attend the annual re-enactment this year but not possible :(

Cheers
