Our last Dungeon Party was done with more shades of grey.

Nice looking stuff. Happy dungeon crawling!

Nice, nothing like going down into the sewers grin, although I had to do a double-take as I misread hirelings as halflings <doh>!

Unfortunately, D&D gnome figures seem to be a rarity, and few have the large noses that they were originally given grin I'm surprised nobody has done a KS for gnomes (although halfling & dwarf KS seem to be all the rage).

Good blog, I enjoyed reading it all. I tried to comment on it directly, but wasn't able to.

Your players are obviously proper characters. The Gnome controller especially.

Oberlindes – thanks. I'm actually trying to have them in "dungeons" that form a purpose: sewers, crypts, University steam tunnels. Maybe a labyrinth of thorns, a la Hans Christian Anderson: "Careful, or you'll scratch your eye out…"

Huscarle – I read a survey somewhere (no citation, regrets) that Gnomes are amongst the least-played D&D characters. With 5E, more so than ever – who wants to play a Gnome, when you can play a Gundam-style Robot? *eyeroll*.

I would be inclined to support a Gnome & Dwarf KS, provided they're delivered as metals.

Citizen Sade – thanks for the kind words. I've set the commenting to any google account with post approval. Been a lot of Nigerian Princes discovering the Blog World, ten years too late.

As always, thank ye, Gents. I appreciate the chat.
Best Regards,
Keith F.

It is difficult to locate Gnome figures of the right height -- er, shortness! I like Gygax's sizes given in his 1977 AD&D Monster Manual. To get figures that short, for use with 25mm-28mm figures, I need to go with smaller scale figures.

I, too, love the larger noses Gygax had given them. Finding figures with such large noses, is extremely difficult. I want the short stature, plus the big shnozzes! I made a Gnome army using some English figures, years ago: not short enough, but serviceable, in every other way. Wish I had bought twice as many as I did! Still available, but I have too much in the painting queue, already. Cheers!

Ral Partha has four very small gnomes that used to come in a single pack but are now spread through Iron Wind Metals general roleplaying collection.

David Johansen – The Iron Wind website is just a pain to navigate. Whenever I search there, I say to myself "This is gonna hurt, Crow…"

Sgt Slag: Check out these excellent Gnomes, I just found, from Otherworld Miniatures: link

Lots of Old School MM goodness.

kmfrye: Thank you! They are all of 21mm tall, which is fantastic. The large noses is superb, as well. They clock in at almost $5 USD/figure, though. At least I can file this away for a future order, if I decide to pull the trigger. I love my Gnome Army, and I would really like to double its size. The money is only one issue; adding another 25-50 figures to my painting queue, is a bigger issue… Cheers!

Sgt Slag – you're right welcome. I have them on order. Once they arrive, I'll put them up against various figs for visual size comparison.

Keith F.
