Yesterday was my first asymptomatic day post Covid-19,and as it was my last day of house arrest (Social Isolation), I got the Stargate figures I recently found and rebased out for an airing!
If you want a look, please go to my blog at this link

Excellent work!

And congratulations for returning to the wolrd from Lockdown! :)

Glad to hear you are doing better!

Looks and sounds like a fun game.

Take care.

I like your random encounter system. How many portal markers do you place?

Personal logo Herkybird Supporting Member of TMP17 Oct 2020 7:39 a.m. PST

Thanks for the kind comments fellas!

Portal Markers are one of the things I leave to players whim. I used 8 counters in Yesterday's game. The rule I used is I imagined the Portal Markers to be light machine gun positions, so placed them so the entire frontage was covered with interlocking fields of fire.

This begs the question! Who makes Stargate figures??

Sorry Bruce, cold-war.co.uk/stargate was where I got my last figures from. I haven't seen any for sale in over a decade. I am just glad I got my 87 Jaffa figures when I could get them….

(these were from my last game in 2013)

At least you can still get the SG team members from Eureka link

bjporter17 Oct 2020 8:30 a.m. PST

Very cool! I have a bunch of the figures. I should paint them up quick/soon.

Too bad the Eureka figures didn't fit well with the later official release figures.

What rules are you using?

Bashytubits17 Oct 2020 9:28 a.m. PST

Well this is good news, except for not being able to buy Jaffa figures. I am actually digitally sculpting some Egyptian Sci fi infantry but they are not ready yet.

Sorry, the rules used are my own link

Cheers again guys! Freedom from my own personal lockdown is a wonderful feeling!

Good you are still with us.

Glad to hear you are recovering.

Thank you for the link to the rules. I like that they are solo play too. I don't think many of the guys in my local group would be interested in Stargate gaming.

Thanks again chaps! Although still fatigued and a bit washed out post Covid, I am getting there!

JimDuncanUK19 Oct 2020 3:15 a.m. PST

Here's me over two years since my successful emergency cancer surgery and I'm still a bit fatigued and washed out. Being 70 doesn't help but it is amazing how you can get on by just plugging away, slow but sure.

Keep on at it Herky.

I am always happy when we hear from you Jim, I will take your advice!

I only wish you had a symbiont and could completely cure yourself with a few hours of Kelno'reem!!!

Actually I am a Cylon and I get rebooted regularly.
