"Browsing through one of Larousse's encyclopedic publications centuries ago, I came across a drawing and description of a primitive jangada raft used by Brazilian fishermen. Since the description showed that the rafts were made of balsa wood, I obtained a large chunk of this material and built my own yangada based on the drawing from the book. I present how it turned out in the pictures. First the reference material, then the model…"
