I just received my copy of Jacobite Rising by Richard Borg. I have put it together and started reading the rules. The game is produced by Compass games and in my opinion Compass has a higher quality than GMT. The terrain tiles are thick and heavy and beautifully designed. The game has the same quality and texture as Tricorne. The rules are a little different from Tricorne as it has more of a feel of the earlier century. As soon as me and my wife have finished with C & C Medieval we will start playing Jacobite Rising. As I was also a playtester I strongly recommend this game. It is a stand alone game and you do not need to have a copy of Tricorne to play Jacobite Rising.
