…warship that is kilometers long in size

"We have two opposing forces: the Democrats and the Imperialists.

Each one can field an armada of ships numbering millions in their fleets, supported by trillions- to a quadrillion person strong super supply lines just to support the war effort, both in space and land. Heck, they even have mobile fortress worlds (Planetoids) as their fleet headquarters.

You, an aspiring young noble from the Imperial faction, want to be in command of a fleet of these mighty warships and lay waste to their planets. However, your enemies also have mighty warships and want to lay waste to your planets…"

Well, for starters, your "Bomb" will not be a dropped weapons – Like thsoe in Star Wars, they'd have to AT LEAST be propelled onto the target by some kind of launcher.

Having said that, we next come to the issue of payload; Simple explosive, Thermal and/or plasma reaction-based damage, or a kinetic device? All ratehr dependent on waht kind of vessel you are attacking.

Yes, it all depends on the overall technology. If the 'bomb' (missile) is coming in relatively slowly then you'll want some sort of warhead. Thermonuclear, anti-matter, something more exotic. But if the relative speeds are significant fractions of the speed of light, all you need is the kinetic energy of device--explosives would be redundant.
