Indeed, though I've never noticed before, multiple rows of lace 'affectation' on boots before! d |

I don't think I have ever seen a pelisse cut like that- it would seem to defeat the purpose of a pelisse (keeping you warm). That broad expanse of white shirt front makes it looks as if it could feature in one of Tango's posts, if it had some cleavage. |

I do wonder how warm a pelisse actually was. It was worn over a waistcoat, not over a dolmann, once fastened. It may have looked like an Irving flying jacket, but it was not fur/sheepskin lined. It was just trimmed with fur. |

Well, he's a revolution period staffer, ~ reversed cockade, and tricoleur brassard, made as they did, out of a clutch of tied material, not an armband, possibly trying to toss it about wearing his too tight pelisse in a way it wasn't designed for. ;-) Just another John Travolta of the '90s… d |

NPR- you're suggesting perhaps an Austrian hussay…

She looks a bit more Prussian to me, but I will admit that the lace and shako shape were not the first things I noticed. |
