Not much faith was placed in doctors back then, as Froissart observed.

Is there a doctor in the haus?

How about bleach and UV light?
Aquarium cleaner?
Oleander, or other poisonous waxy plants?

Just get your humours balanced.

Even Plague Doctors knew about PPE.

I always visit the Halloween stores that open this month each year & Plague Doctor masks & also full costumes are prevalent this year, which is timely of course. The other stand out costume is Pennywise the clown from "It".

@ Bashytubits

You know, for a nominal fee and travel expenses, I would be happy to visit your fine city and cure it of the plague. I'll even give you the StryderG Guarantee!

The small print: (hey Bill, how do I type in 1 point font?)
I guarantee the city will be cured of the plague until such time as it recurs. "cured" will be defined as at least one person in the city will not have the plague at any given time.

In five years the Black Plague killed about a third of the population of Europe. So what finally "cured" the Plague? Time.

That graphic is woefully lacking – it doesn't include the pockets full of posies and the dead pigeons tied to the soles of the feet. The graphic actually shows prevention rather than cure, so is incorrectly labelled.

Sir, have you not heard? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
