I think this is my first posting/contribution in the gallery board.

Want to show some Brunswick troops (Horse artillery and a line command) done a few years ago. Hope you like them.

Cheers

Nice!

Beautiful caisson and wagon – are they both Perry??

Nice looking bunch of troops, well done!

Figures are 28mm Perry. Horses are front rank for the caisson and foundry for the gun carriage. Gun carriage and caisson are Old Glory.

Love the caisson. That is really unusual. The harness, drag ropes etc is very convincing indeed.

I am a huge fan of photo backgrounds, as in your LHS. We will ignore the diamond memorial plaque. That must have been the earlier one for Fleurus I…..must have been. Then replaced a couple of years after the battle. But you knew that!

Your close up photography and colour balance is great.

Nice work.

The picture with the background of LHS was actually a test based on an idea of deadhead. I used a picture of the outside wall on the Charleroi road.
@deadhead, I missed the plaque (should photoshop it next time) I wasn`t aware of the history of the plaque, thanks for that info. I try to visit once a year but mostly visit Hougoumont, Plancenoit or QB. LHS is not open for public and difficult to view from the busy road.
Thank you for the comments, should take photo`s from the whole horse battery next time.

I finaly found the time and courage to get stuck in the settings for the camera. I put all the Horse artillery in the picture. Looks like I have to varnish them (mat) again, some have a bit of a sheen. Perry, Foundry, Front Rank and Old Glory miniatures.

Sweet!

Brilliant work and photography. To get that depth of focus you need a closed shutter, long exposure and massive lighting. The last will always give a sheen from the most Matt finish. The dead horse, wounded rider, tableau is really striking.

And to finish the last units of the Brunswick contingent:

Uhlans and the 1st Line Bat.
