Following on from the WW2 Russian Buildings earlier in the week here is a feature on the first German Tanks for Kursk.

No real plan with these just a box of each from PSC. Lovely models they are too, nice and easy to paint, these were all done in a week.

Links to the blog post and Utubes above. Russians next week.

Inspirational!

Do you have a rule set that you are planning to use?

Are you intending to publish a painting tutorial?

Fred Mills03 Oct 2020 5:57 a.m. PST

Great stuff. Painting tutorial would be very welcome.

Wow – that's a lot of panzers. Really well done too!

Many thanks all,

That's 4 requests so far for painting tutorials so yep I will do one on the next lot I do, not sure when but will do.

Rules wise it will be our home brew that we use for our 28mm Desert Games which are based on Disposable Hero's, will need a few tweeks for increased number of vehicles that's all.

They look really well done!

Not to count rivets, but on your blog you state that you numbered the Panthers with high numbers because "they tended to be added to battalions." Not sure what you men. AFAIK, all Panthers were assigned to 200 Panzer Brigade in two battalions.

Disco Joe03 Oct 2020 9:11 a.m. PST

Very nice indeed.

That's why I love TMP there's always someone to point out your errors (and sometimes when your right), yes the Panthers were all in two Battalions no 51 and 52. For some reason the photos I have are all high numbers.

I will of course retire to a quiet room with a pistol.

Piccie #2 has caused reverie of times past…

Original sticker price £1.25 GBP

The plastic SWR hawsers always sprang off and a sister ripped the cooling pipes off.
