Looks like Hasbro is bringing back HeroQuest on their own crowdfunding page, Hasbro Pulse. They've already exceeded their target. link |

Holy carp! Dang, do they want my money…and they may well get it… |

That's a bummer, only open to the US & Canada for shipping. |

They don't own the rights to sell it elsewhere. Joe Collins |

Looks like a fair price considering everything that you get. Is this kind of D&D light? |

I have the original and the two expansions wonder if it is a replacement or a new set of adventures. May have to sell it off. |

Looks like a fair price considering everything that you get. Is this kind of D&D light? Yes. It's a dungeon crawl board game with pre-designed adventures that one player acts as the DM to run, while the players take on the roles of pre-made characters. It's pretty much the inspiration for Descent, Dungeon Saga, et al. The original was a combined product of Milton Bradley and Games Workshop (who eventually developed Warhammer Quest from it). I never got the chance to play it-- my own fault, as it came out when I was a teen and well into AD&D, and therefore dismissed it as a "kiddie" game. I've since learned it's highly praised by fans as one of the best dungeon crawl games ever released. Here's a video about the original game (which is intentionally over-the-top, managing to be both hilarious and sincere): YouTube link |

…and they got me. In for the Mythic Tier. |

Sir Parzival, you are soft and weak. Thanks for the explanation. |

I know, I know. I cannot resist their shiny lures… And I love it! |

I have both the British and US versions of the original (the rules were very slightly different) but still bid on this. I understand it is going to be a pretty pure remake with no real rules changes other than removing Games Workshop Trademark content. |

@ARMY … this is basically a reprint, with subtle changes to the rules and background (as was mentioned, they need to remove any references to Warhammer and Games Workshop). But the quests and the rules are essentially identical to the earlier version. |

If being like Parzival is wrong, I don't want to be right! I'm in for the Mythic! |
svsavory | 01 Oct 2020 7:26 p.m. PST |
I never owned or played the original, as I wasn't into dungeon crawlers back then. Now I am, so I was happy to learn of the reprint. I backed at Mythic level. |

Checked today out of curiosity. They've reached almost $2.4 USD million pledges! And they keep adding extra minis, new minis, and new quest books. Hope this keeps going, 'cause I want lots of goodies. |
Parzival | 07 Nov 2020 1:07 p.m. PST |
Hasbropulse has announced that Heroquest has been fully funded. Almost all stretch goals for extra minis, Quest Books and more were reached. Alas, no extra Gargoyle ($3.8 mil needed) or a Dragon sculpt ($4 mil), but still a huge lot of shiny stuff! Projected to ship next fall. |
