Well I watched the first season of the CW War of the Worlds TV series and just had to start a thread to talk about it.
More disappointed than disturbed.
A lot of inconsistencies with fighting the invaders. For some bullets work and others they do not.
What happened to hand grenades? LAWS, heavy MG, grenade launchers, 20mm guns?

As gun porn, it is the worse. I watched thru the end and will not miss it. Still better then watching reruns. Another case were trained soldiers can not do as well as someone who never handled a weapon before. |

I enjoyed it! It was a lot better than the BBC version, which was a Shame, that could have been so much better…
And the reason the trained soldiers were so bad, they were French!! 😂
I am hoping for a second season.

The British troops in the bunker did not preform any better than the French. |
