I recently received some 15mm Hittite spearmen. Much to my surprise they all came with square-cut beards. For those who will know more than I do is this typical? I was under the impression that the Hittites were normally beardless. I can remove the beards, but I am getting lazy in my old age and I would rather avoid having do it. Thanks |

Beardless but that might be those from Great Hatti. How about they're numerous allies? Canaanites? Warriors from Wilusa? Anywhere in between? |

The figures I got were "Anatolian Spearmen". |

Beards seem more characteristic of the later "Neo"-Hittites, certainly. But treat them as from some unidentified Anatolian vassal-state and you'll be fine. What figures were they? I note the Essex ones seem to be beardless, but haven't looked further. |

Old Glory 15s. I just had a quick shuftee and it was "Anatolian Infantry" (which I bought)that have beards. Their "Infantry" is probably what I should have got but didn't notice them. Tant pis |
