Can anyone tell me which types of Leased tanks were available for the Stalingrad Campaign and in what numbers if it's known. |

Foreign armored vehicles in the Battle of Stalingrad were represented by British light tanks Mk III "Valentine" (were in service with the 66th, 67th, 174th tank brigades), medium Mk II "Matilda" (were in service with the 5th mechanized corps) and heavy Mk IV Churchill (were in service with 47 and 48 guards separate heavy tank regiments); American light tanks M3 "Stuart" (were in service with the 90th and 241st tank brigades) and medium tanks M3 "Grant / Lee" (were in service with the 241st tank brigade). Import share armored vehicles in the Red Army at the Stalingrad theater of operations amounted to about 5%. |
