Been a lot of years since I wargamed Napoleonics and I was wondering if anyone recalls the CLS organization for a Bavarian Battalion. I know that it was 45 figures including 3 command and 6 Grenadiers but can't remember the amount of line and sharpshooter figures Can anyone help? |

24 line on four bases. Base of six grens. Non-firing command stand and 12 "plinkers"--skirmish infantry on three-casting stands. Those would be your sharpshooters. Mind you, it reflects a very brief period in the history of the Bavarian Army. As I recall, in 1805 they looked more like Prussians--four line and a converged grenadier--and in 1812-13, they were the standard Confederation of the Rhine six companies. But I've shared many tables with those 45-casting Bavarian battalions. |

Viking-I have a pdf from Fred Vietmeyer showing his Bavarian organization for CLS. If you email me at Burker1 (at) aol (dot) com I'd be happy to send you a copy. The PDF shows five six man stands (one of which is grenadiers), a 3-man command stand and four three man stands of Schutzen. The PDF also has his Light battalion and Line Cav organization. |
