What a great find. Something a bit different and will surely cheer the Perrys.

I feel for the poor foot dragoons. For once, some one has actually shown the horses left behind, but, without a horse holder….that is one big desert to walk across. I wish the Wuhan pandemic was a Flu as he says….a vaccine is much more difficult than that.

Also impressed that he is now going for Vichy French in Syria/Lebanon. Great find. What would we do without you?

Au contraire mon frere___ look again at the blow up. You'll see those 'cav', merely dismounted, not 'a pied', have retainers at the horses heads alright ;-)

And yes what a stunning force and painting. It's a cosmopolitan polyglot of a campaign- everything begun with full European dress down to the localised substitutions and near complete re-uniforming of an ever reducing force.

I'm still confused over why the artillery continued to be dressed in full blue, surely the near worst colour for desert conditions (and yes I know all about the Bedouin tribal black etc.).

I'm voting for the Wuhan charge to win. I'm sad for the vulnerable, not the ignorant. Tant pis!

A very authentic look clearly based on a lot of research.

They do indeed have horse holders! It took me three goes to see them but now I see their helmets at last. Now how often do you see that? I almost expected them to be missed out, as with all horse artillery, however many caissons and limbers are usually shown.
