Hey all

Is there any interest in CMONs A Song of Ice and Fire? I'm wondering how many people are interested in the game. If so, maybe we could schedule a meet up at Historicon?

Just throwing it out there.

I've played a couple of times with my youngest son and both of us enjoyed it a lot. I have most of my figures painted but not based yet. Too many projects on my plate from SWMBO!!

Definitely interested. Fantastic game and Miniatures. More coming out later this year and next, including Mother of Dragons, all three dragons in juvenile stage, and for the Free Folk, mammoths. Wow, what fun.

However, attending Historicon is not doable for me. Hope you get some games going there so the uninitiated can see the game and figures in action.

Well, I have the starter box set I'm painting along with the starter set for the Free Folks. I hope to have everything painted by Historicon. My plan is to bring it with me and try and rope some friends to play. Both old friends and friends I've yet to meet.

Fun game, have a Lanister and Stark army, about 12 units per. A few other add ons.

Don't know about a game at H-Con, but I do enjoy the game and rules. Simple and fast.

What's the current betting on there being a Historicon 2021?

TheKing3025 Sep 2020 2:33 p.m. PST

@Robert – I think the chances are pretty good HCon 2021 will go off. Maybe an 85% chance?

But to get back on topic – do you play CMONs ASOIAF?

Sorry, King. Not familiar with the rules. It was the calm expectation of a convention which caught my attention.

Interested, but hesitant. Getting old and trying to resist getting into a new arena. May by a box or two of minis for some other games I have

I'm not on your side of the pond but it is a cracking game which is very thematic.

When I bought it I only had a vague idea of the theme. I hadn't read the books or watched the series so I watched some clips on youtube and bought the books after I got the Starter set.

I play it solo and tend to make up my own scenarios, I don't care for the objective chits in the game but focus more on capturing a hill or crossroads etc.

I have just started collecting. The miniatures are fantastic.
