I ran across this game review of the strategy boardgame "The Shores of Tripoli" on the "Journal of the American Revolution" web site.

Looks like an interesting game although the price is rather stiff -- $50 USD !

$50 USD is about average for a game of that type. Considering the number and variety of components (board, cards, ship tokens, coins) that's a pretty reasonable price.
