I hope this link works. This is my progress so far on my 1:96 scale model of the "Dear Old Surprise"- Captain Jack Aubrey's frigate from the "Master and Commander" series of books.
It is a cardstock model by "Shipyard" of Poland, who also make some rather interesting period dockyard buildings. hull is 18" long, 28" to the tip of the bowsprit and the mainmast 29" tall. Don't attempt it unless you are an experienced card modeller. My attempt is a bit messy but I'm still chuffed to little mint balls with how it's looking. It has taken me about 2 years to get this far and I've left out many of the 4000 or so parts to keep it workable. All masts are BBQ skewers as none are provided, but sizes are shown on the rather sketchy plans.
I'm also working on opposition in the form of a small Maratha/Mysorean fleet. Enjoy!!

Very nice! Reminds me that I haven't done a re-read of the series in about 5 years, so time to do that.

Nice work! Don't forget Lucky Jack's two personally owned brass "chaser" cannon.
