Very nice. This is how to do it if you have to game alone in lockdown.

Nice – thanks for sharing; love to do Napoleonic big battles with 6 mm figs

This makes me very happy, thank you John! It's good to see you alive and well and getting some gaming in, and the fight, as always, looked great as was very interesting. Those Russians crashing in the front door almost made it look too easy! ;)

Take care.

Jack

Thanks very much all. It was good to get the toy sodiers out, even if the very promising scenario ended up being quite a straightforward victory for one side.

I wouldn't normally intrude… but you know why!?
You hadn't updated their flags of course!

Meanshile, I still don't get games of tiny people that have 1 gun model batteries! For all the improvement and looks of [small scale] 'masses', they're just silly.

Whirlwind's setup looks great, and I appreciate the work he so graciously carries out in setting up, playing, photographing, typing, and posting his games for all of us to enjoy.

Very helpful, by the way. And here I was thinking the only thing silly here is some random Bleeped texthole stepping in to take cheap shots, just for the sake of being an Bleeped texthole.

"I wouldn't normally intrude"

And so you shouldn't have!

Many thanks Jack and Glenn.

Quite true. My French and Russian toy soldiers are just painted and beflagged to give a Napoleonic 'look', I don't worry at all about the differences in hats and flags between 1794 and 1815: I am not going to collect separate troops for every campaign. For that matter, the Russian toy soldiers have done duty refighting the Crimea, and no doubt the French will too at some point. My redcoats serve for in battles covering 150 years. It doesn't matter to me, but I realize it matters to some people.

Meanwhile, I still don't get games of tiny people that have 1 gun model batteries! For all the improvement and looks of [small scale] 'masses', they're just silly.

The Polemos Ruse de Guerre rules do suggest that it should be gun and limber, which looks a bit nicer, but I started off basing for Polemos Napoleonics, which just uses the single guns and I have never got round to changing it. They do get doubled up for Horse, Foot and Guns though.
