Beautiful painting and a great spectacle- you should be proud Arteis. It is almost like looking at the Barry Lyndon scene.

BTW I once recall reading in a French journal, that the real Royal-Cravates (cavalry as you rightly observe) was heavily recruited with Irishmen in the mid c18th.

What is the source, the Regiment Royal Cravates Cavalerie's control registry doesn't reflect at all this recruitment, nor Croatian or at least foreigners,
mainly simply Frenchmen
