Beautiful painting and a great spectacle- you should be proud Arteis. It is almost like looking at the Barry Lyndon scene. BTW I once recall reading in a French journal, that the real Royal-Cravates (cavalry as you rightly observe) was heavily recruited with Irishmen in the mid c18th. |

What is the source, the Regiment Royal Cravates Cavalerie's control registry doesn't reflect at all this recruitment, nor Croatian or at least foreigners, mainly simply Frenchmen |
