I was a buyer at large for several years, international obviously, until beginning of 2020.

Probably never again- due to the extreme cost and freight minimums being applied by a) USPS and b) stores themselves. Being charged $50 USDUS postage for 3 tiny n scale cars weighing less than 1 pound was 5 x the cost of the items.
Another- $85 USDUS for 5 smallish books that maybe weighed a pound, in a small padded box. Cost 13x the items inside.

Latest quote from Amazon- a decent h/b book, $95 USDUS for postage- 3.45 times cost. No longer worth purchasing from there.

Not fir us overseas it aint.

Don't expect my few $$$ to make any difference to the US economy, but you guys are gonna pay for the changes to it. We've had 'de-socialisation' of traditionally government supported 'British Empire' legacy systems for 3 decades now, and prices just keep going up!

PS- in contrast I've been able to ship from UK for a fraction of such prices (so far…)

Got a Priority box delivered today by the U.S.P.O. Good size damage to the front/middle of box, with significant access to inside the box. This most likely was done during the period of time that it was under the direct care of the post office, since I answered my door moments after the postal carrier had knocked on my front door.
Luckily the book packed inside was not damaged. Seller packed it correctly!
