So the Russians learned nothing from 30 years of western combat operations? AAA is useless against modern fighters, drones and cruise missiles.

You might be able to plink transport helos with them but smaller more mobile and more accurate MANPADS do the job better.

Well, the all-optical targeting system is hard to jam. Far harder than any radar or IR seeker.

Having AAA with armoured units will however stop aircraft from taking liberties. The job of all AA is not to kill aircraft but to save ground units/targets.

Sharper except for 40 years NATO and the Israelis have owned the skies and even when the Russians deployed their high end system over Syria.

In all instances AAA has done nothing. Indeed AAA is largely gone from western service as a result.
