I hosted a fictional Battle of Grey Plains from last Friday evening. Loosely based on the Battle of White Plains. We had a new guy turn up and I thought this would be an interesting and fun first game.

I would umpire to keep the game moving along and make the occasional impartial decision. We used Fife and Drum rules by Jim Purky (aka Der Alte Fritz) because they are simple, fun and work well for multi-player games.

The game went well and the new guy had a blast.

Superbly painted figures coupled with outstanding terrain along with a concise blow by blow rendition of a most interesting game. Well done! Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for the comments!

@OFM – Yeah…My previous report was for SYW. I realised the mistake as soon as I clicked publish…
I hit the Complaint button and messaged the editors to fix.

And that renders my snotty remark pointless. grin

Very cool. I love the dead figures lying around.
I swear I'm not morbid.

Thanks. I think the dead-uns tell a story of the game and adds an extra layer to the visuals.
